Are my plants harmful if my pets or kids eat them?
When you're choosing houseplants, it's really important to think about who else - or what else - shares your home. If you have curious pets or small children who might nibble an interesting looking leaf, you should make sure to choose plants that are pet and child safe.
Some plants aren't good for you or your pets if you eat them, but thankfully, there are plenty that are harmless. They include Big Ken, Howard, Julia, Venus, Sharon, and Bertie. Every plant's page will tell you if it's safe for animals and children. Check out our full range of child and pet safe plants.
If you have your heart set on a plant that's not 100% pet or child-friendly, you might still be able to have it. Just make sure to put it out of reach of curious little ones. One way of lifting your plants off the floor is to put them in a plant stand.
