Ollie might be native to the Med, but he's perfectly happy living in the UK too, so long as he gets plenty of sunlight. This rugged plant will grow by 5-10cm each year. There’s a chance he’ll bring you small white flowers in summer, but you'll be very lucky to get fruit, which is the result of a drier, hotter climate than ours.
For a taste of the real deal, we’ve paired our 80-90cm Ollie with Citizens of Soil’s Greek olive oil. Citizens of Soil champions small-batch olive oil, produced by regenerative farms. This extra-virgin olive oil is curated from the groves of five families in Laconia and has a delicate and herby flavour. Perfect drizzled over potatoes, salads and vanilla ice cream (trust us, it’s delicious).
Our 23cm Terracotta Egg Pot with Saucer completes the set, a classic Mediterranean style made in Italy from porous clay. You can either keep Ollie in his nursery pot, or plant him directly into the terracotta pot. If you choose the latter, be sure to use a loam-based compost like John Innes No.3, which will have the perfect balance of drainage and moisture retentive goodies like sand and clay.
