  • The blue spruce is the classic, and very classy, Christmas tree. It’s loved for its full shape and those soft blue-ish needles, which give it its name. It also has an unmistakable scent, a smell that instantly means Christmas. This mini one comes wrapped in its own festive sack, tied up with a bow, making it ideal as a gift. You can also addlights, which will make it extra festive. It’s best to put it in a decorative pot, so pick your favourite from our wide selection ofindoor pots. You can also put it in aplant stand, to lift it off the ground and make more room for presents.

The blue spruce originally comes from North America. It’s also known as the Colorado spruce, because it’s so widely found in that state. It’s a tough old tree that can tolerate incredibly cold winters. It can grown as large as 23 metres in the wild, given enough time. You’d definitely have trouble getting one of those through your door.

Keep it outside until two weeks before Christmas then bring it in. Because it’s a pot-grown tree, don’t throw yours away after Christmas. It will live very happily outside, growing a bit bigger each year and providing you with a larger tree every Christmas. Fortunately, it will stay quite a bit smaller than 23 metres.

Level up your tree with somefairy lightsandbaubles.

    Did you know?

The Navajo and Keres Native American tribes give blue spruce sprigs to bring good luck. So you’ve got a whole tree of luck.
